Wear Farm is situated on the edge of the Teign estuary, with scenic views towards the sea at Teignmouth and Shaldon.

It is an ideal base for exploring South Devon and the site is easy to find from any direction. Nearby are the towns of Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Dawlish and just across the river lies the quaint village of Shaldon.

There is easy access to the estuary for fishing, boating, windsurfing and other water activities. (Jet skis are not permitted).

The site offers two fields, one with electric hook-ups for touring caravans and motorhomes and one without for tents.

Wear Farm is a family run business with an actual working farm so the sites are basic, with simple old fashioned facilities for people who appreciate a quiet countryside holiday base.

There are no pubs, clubs, restaurants on site, neither does it have swimming pools or fast food outlets. Between the site and the estuary is a main railway line that runs parallel to the River Teign.

  • One shop selling groceries, newspapers, confectionery, freezer pack service etc.
  • Bus stop at the site entrance with regular service to Teignmouth, Newton Abbot and Exeter.

  • No charge for hot water.
  • Washing facilities including Launderette with washers, driers, free to use irons, 13 amp electrical sockets.
  • Well behaved dogs permitted on leads.
  • Train stations at nearby Teignmouth and Newton Abbot.
  • Electric Hookups for Touring Caravans and Motorhomes.
  • An ideal base from which to explore the delights of South Devon at your leisure.

Apart from the beautiful surroundings and views at Wear Farm, the magnificent coastline here in South Devon offers a wealth of walks and sandy coves and beaches. Water and boating sports abound as does tennis, golf, riding and more.

Discover ‘olde worlde’ pubs, a host of family attractions and events, picture postcard villages, historic towns – all near to hand and in beautiful surroundings.

Easy to Find
From Exeter and the M5 motorway follow the A380 towards Newton Abbot and Torquay. Turn on to the A381 Teignmouth Road and Wear Farm is a two minute drive on the right. Look out for the signs.
