The Marstan Hotel is an imposing Victorian villa nestling in Torquay’s peaceful conservation area. The villa has been extensively restored with all rooms having been refurbished. This has gained us a five-star guest accommodation rating.

We are the only five-star in the area to offer a combination of a licensed bar, hot tub and heated pool.

The Bar is a rich green world of nostalgia. Enjoy a fine beverage amongst oil paintings, portraits and warm, dark wood. We've done our utmost to provide the ambience fitting for a relaxing drink or a nights revelry.

Our Dining Room, overlooking the pool and garden is a sun lit room, an ideal setting for the perfect breakfast. In the summer you may choose to take breakfast alfresco on the lawn, in the winter months watch our outside residents - grey squirrels - busy themselves foraging for acorns and berries.

Every morning the room is filled with the aroma of freshly brewed Columbian coffee. Whilst savouring the delightful choices of the morning, you are put at ease by the gentle sound of background classical music. Our buffet includes an extensive array of homemade items such as muesli, yoghurts, preserves, compotes and muffins. Enjoy your first course whilst your cooked breakfast is made fresh to order using only the finest locally sourced organic ingredients and free-range eggs.

In addition to our own jacuzzi and swimming pool, guests have the option to use the Hesketh Health Club situated approximately 2 minutes walk from us. This offers a fully equipped gymnasium with free weights, resistance machines and an aerobic suite plus an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, sauna and solarium.
