Roundham Lodge Guest House is the only 5 Star establishment in Paignton. We also have a Silver Award by Visit Britain.

The Guest House is situated in Roundham, a select and quiet area of Paignton. Only 300 Metres walk to the harbour and 5 minutes walk from the esplanade into Paignton town.

The lounge is comfortably furnished and with a display of original oil paintings which are a feature throughout the lodge in all rooms.

A mature development is the pond and waterfall, which is quite impressive when illuminated in the evening and very peaceful during the day. Why not sit and relax to the sound of the running waters or watch our visiting family of ducks. A blessing for those wishing to meditate or simply relax and read.

The lodge has a wonderful calming atmosphere. Many guests remark about this and several of our regular friends refer to the lodge as their ‘second home’.

Roundham Lodge provides an ideal location for business persons visiting the area. We offer a friendly and welcoming environment in a quiet and comfortable select area of Torbay. Roundham Lodge provides free use of WiFi broadband.

The lounge is very comfortably furnished with seating for 8 or more persons and suitable for business meetings with guest’s associates. On display are original oil paintings which are a feature throughout the Lodge rooms and hallways.

Our rooms are clean and tastefully decorated with an air of spacious elegance. Comfortable and easy without being precocious. Friendliness is assured.

A superb view of Torquay, Maidencombe and Brixham can be enjoyed from many of our rooms. We are a non smoking establishment. Smokers are requested to kindly use the gardens.

The Bedrooms are spacious, all ensuite and furnished to a high standard. The mattresses, some of which are 6ft Super kingsize are pocket sprung or memory foam with quality feather or Tempur pillows.

Digital Freeview TV and DVD are in all rooms. There are teamaking facilities, radio alarm clock, direct dial telephone and free WiFi broadband.

For more comfort there is a hair dryer, quality soap and shampoos, shower gel and a sewing kit for that missing button. Most rooms have superb views of the Bay, Torquay, Maidencombe, Thatcher rock and out to sea.

Breakfast is served in the spacious dining room. Enjoy a choice of cereals and various fruit juices. Grapefruit, prunes and other fruits in rotation, plus fresh fruits and a lavish English breakfast. For our many guests from Europe we offer other food varieties according to taste.

Our breakfasts are enough to sustain one throughout the day making a great saving on lunch out! Quality seeded brown or white toast. Best quality Marmalade and jams. Breakfast menu available of other delicious food; smoked salmon, salmon steaks in a variety of sauces to order, various egg dishes. Diets and vegetarians catered for by request. Quality tea and ground coffee. Herbal and Rooibosch.

The garden is quite beautiful during the flowering season and into autumn. It is a pleasure to sit quietly by the ponds and listen to the sound of the cascading water whilst reading or meditating and hopefully a seasonal visit by our family of ducks.

Parking is no problem. We have extra large parking for 8 vehicles within the private grounds of the Lodge covered by security lighting.
