Welcome to Cafè @ Living Coasts
With a panoramic sun terrace and large indoor seating area, our Café is the perfect place to have morning coffee, a freshly made lunch, or enjoy a luxury cream tea in the afternoon.

The Café offers a selection of sandwiches, freshly filled focaccia, a healthy Mediterranean salad bar, and a wide selection hot meals and light bites.

Enjoy traditional food such as fish and chips, jacket potatoes with a selection of fillings, freshly made soup every day, and a variety of options for children from our Kid’s Bites menu. Our food is prepared on the premises when you order, guaranteeing the best quality on your plate.

Our standard menu is enhanced by daily Chef’s Specials using the best seasonal ingredients and could incorporate anything from venison to local scallops. Vegetarian options available.

Our Daily Chef’s Specials include:

  • Salmon and prawn strudel
  • Pork, apple and leek pie
  • Venison fillets, garlic mash and red wine sauce
  • Smoked salmon and free range scrambled eggs on a granary crouton

Eco-friendly eating
As part of South West Zoos, we also understand the impact of food miles, over fishing and battery farming. Our aim is to take a lead in encouraging visitors to use local, ethically-sourced ingredients. We have taken a stand on the use of palm oil, which destroys rainforest habitats to produce, ensuring that all products we sell use either no palm oil or traceable ethically-produced palm oil. For example, our coffee and hot chocolate is Fair Trade sourced via Café Direct.

We are also trying to reduce the environmental impact of waste plastics by offering fresh milk in jugs and sugar direct from dispensers. As yet we are still to discover a hygienic alternative to sauce sachets but we’re working on it.
