Cypress Heights Care Home
An elegant detached residence standing in tranquil and beautiful surroundings close to the olde worlde village of Cockington. Conveniently situated, within walking distance of the local shops, post office, bank and parish church.

Homely Accommodation

A home where we provide a family spirit and a peaceful happy atmosphere to give as much independence as possible to stay indefinitely without worry. Professional care by trained staff providing a 24 hour service in a comfortable home where residents can enjoy companionship and security.
Residents have the privacy of their own rooms. Some are en suite, comfortably furnished and with a nurse call system. Residents are encouraged to add any personal effects from their own home when they take up residence, many like to retain their own television and telephone for their private use.
Arrangement to receive visitors, visiting at any time and the use of a house telephone privately are available.

 

Service, Facilities and Activities

  • Various aids: chair lift, hydraulic bath chair, wheelchair etc.
  • Residents can be accompanied to hospital and doctors appointments.
  • Domiciliary visits by Chiropodist, Dentist and Opticians.
  • Visiting Hairdresser, Library and Jigsaw service.
  • Recreational activities and weekly excursions in own Mini-Bus.
  • Religious needs catered for.
  • Pets considered.
  • Lounge, Sun Lounge, Dining Room and Gardens with sitting areas.

Meals

Excellent home cooking catering for individual tastes with varied and well balanced meals. Special diets catered for. Meals are served in our pleasant dining room, but, residents may have meals served in their own rooms on request.

Staff

All staff are under the personal supervision of the proprietors and trained to meet the needs of the residents. Committed to providing personalised care ensuring the privacy, dignity and comfort of residents.

Personal Care

We welcome both long and short stay male and female residents into our home. Home visits prior to admission and a trial stay can be arranged to assess individual needs and suitability.
Each resident, subject to their agreement, can be assessed and a care plan produced to meet their personal and domestic needs. Residents are given the opportunity to be involved as much as possible in decision making concerning the way the home is run.

Payment

We accept both private and state supported residents. The fee is fully inclusive of room, care, laundry, all meals and beverages. Payment in complete weeks and fees are payable in advance on a four week basis unless by prior arrangement. Fees are reviewed annually in April.

We have tried to set out in this brochure some of the facilities Cypress Heights has to offer, but, in the space available we cannot include everything. Most of all, it is impossible to show the warmth, friendliness and high standards of care we provide, which you can only experience by visiting.
